About

Dana French is a current MFA Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Alaska Fairbanks focusing on narrative driven Photography. She primarily shoots black and white film with her Rolleiflex, but extends her photographic work into alternative and historic processes. Covering a wide range of topics and subject matter, her photography extends beyond Alaska as a result of her love of travel. Much of her work also addresses themes of identity and analyzing social norms.

Regardless of subject or place, she strives to make photographs that don’t suck and mean something.
